Stream of Consciousness Sunday ~ Summer is here edition

Tomorrow is the first official day of summer vacation for the kids and pretty much the only thing I’m looking forward to for them is that they get to spend their summer day camp at a familiar place. Their former daycare provider (the amazing one we had before they started school) has space for them in her summer camp this year and even though it’s more expensive than what I had planned for them originally, it’s completely worth every penny just for the meals and field trips she has planned for them alone. Truth be told, the peanut probably wouldn’t have done well in the summer camp I had planned to put him in. I would have had to pay a helper to stay with him after the first two weeks (after the free helper the camp would have provided finished) and that would have been very expensive. Essentially, I would have had to find a regular in home daycare for him instead of a summer camp. Hopefully summers will never come to that. Hopefully he’ll either get better in group settings and need less direct supervision as he gets older, or our beloved daycare provider will always have space for him at her summer camp. Essentially this woman will never be able to close up shop because we pretty much rely on her as the best possible person we can leave the peanut with outside of school.

This has been my 5 minute Stream of Consciousness Sunday post. It’s five minutes of your time and a brain dump. Want to try it? Here are the rules…

  • Set a timer and write for 5 minutes.
  • Write an intro to the post if you want but don’t edit the post. This is writing in the raw.
  • Publish it somewhere. Anywhere. The back door to your blog if you want. But make it accessible.
  • Link back to All.Things.Fadra (feel free to use the SOC Sunday graphic) and leave a comment on this post with a link so I can read your SOC Sunday post too!

Happy writing!
