I am one with The (Calligraphy) Force, and The Force (again, Calligraphy) is with me

Star Wars reference for anyone who wanted to know that I have watched all 9 movies in the Star Wars franchise (two of which are available on Netflix bee-tee-dubs) in the last 2 weeks that I’ve been home with the boys over Christmas break. I told my husband what I’d been doing with my time while we’ve been trapped indoors during this ridiculous cold snap and it was literally the one time he hasn’t mocked me for watching too much TV. He gave me a pass because it was Star Wars. Reason #5871 why I love him so.

And because I’m unable to just sit and do one thing, while I’ve been watching ALL THE STAR WARS I’ve been at my desk, practicing my calligraphy. Except for when I watched Episode 8. I did that in the theater, like a good girl, in D-Box 3D which blew the preshus’ mind. The moving chairs is bad for my ability to eat popcorn without wearing it, but it was worth it.

So yes, I’ve been keeping on top of my daily calligraphy practice, trying to figure out a way to manage my time so that I have time to work, take care of family, take care of me, write werds and draw letters, all while still getting enough sleep. I’m about 60% successful at getting all of that in most days (says the girl who’s been home from work for 2 weeks), we’ll see how I do once winter break is over next week.

In the meantime, I’m going to try to figure out a way to fit it all in and still be happy and sane.

Gotta keep those balls (pens?) in the air, know what I mean?
