Tips from a local heading to #BlissDomCA

  • Since we’re on our own for meals, I’ll be heading to the Eaton Centre Urban Eatery. It’s cheap, close, and has fancier food than the mall food court across the street from my apartment. Let me know if you want to come with.
  • I’ll be staying close to the hotel, because it’s a mini-staycation for me, and I love hotels.
  • If you’re looking for advice on where to go, what to do, I can help, but only a little. I’m from the suburbs. I get lost downtown too.
  • That said I can point you in the direction of an amazing restaurant/wine bar, spa, and non-mall shopping.
  • If you’re looking for a true shopping adventure, try the PATH. I can’t guarantee you’ll come up where you went down, but it’s indoor shopping at it’s finest. Just watch out for the business crowd. They walk fast. And again, I get lost. If you do too, my advice is to go up to street level and get your bearings. Google Maps is your friend.
  • The architecture is beautiful in downtown Toronto. If you’re bored and have a few minutes, look up.
  • If you’re a local too and want a new IRL blogging friend, come find me.

  1. Thanks so much for your post. The Sheraton is not in a part of Toronto I know very well so this is really helpful. I’m also on a budget so seeing some less expensive options for meals is a HUGE help! See you on Friday!!

    • Glad you liked it! I’ve seen so many people making all these grand plans for dinners and I just know I can’t afford that. Cheap and cheerful is where it’s at! See you this weekend!

  2. There is a path from Sheraton to Union my friend took me through it once I can’t remember it for the life of me & I am a local

    • I always get lost in the PATH. I’ve decided to take the shuttle. Don’t want to chance having to walk in the rain with a suitcase! (I hate the rain!)

Leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you!
