NaBloPoMo October 2012 - Mask

The one where I whip my butt into shape

Not by exercising my body, of course (that would be pure crazy talk, I’m a lazy ass), but by getting my creative juices flowing and basically just forcing myself to write every day.NaBloPoMo October 2012

I need to get into the habit of carving a few minutes out of each day to blog. Whether it be on my lunch break or after the kids have gone to sleep, I need to get ‘er done.

And you know what they say, it takes a week or a few weeks or a month (or something, I clearly have no idea what they say) to create a new habit. And as is my habit I can usually keep up my daily posting if I start myself off with a challenge.

So, once again, I’ve signed up for the BlogHer NaBloPoMo for October.

If I’m really insane I just might try fatmumslim’s October photo-a-day challenge as well. I’ll have to think about that one for a minute. Clearly I have even less ability to stick to a photo-a-day challenge vs. a writing challenge, so we’ll see.

  1. Good luck with the October NaBloPoMo! I’m participating for the same reason as you, I tried last month and that didn’t work out well. So I try to write and schedule some posts ahead. The photo a day challenge is not going to work for me, but seeing the link, I got the idea to find some inspiration for pictures in the prompts she provides. I hate posting without pictures, so I should make sure I’ll have a steady collection at hand. Thanks for the link and see you around!!

    1. I was thinking of scheduling posts ahead of time, but maybe just for the weekend ones that are off the “Mask” topic. We’ll see.

      Good luck to you!

  2. I’m taking part in October NaBloPoMo for the same reasons too…I seem to write when it’s going up for midnight or in the early mornings and it’s terrible for my sleep pattern!

I need someone to kick me up the butt to get me into a certain writing pattern!

    Good luck!
