You know, it’s unfortunate that I’m not comfortable blogging about money, because there’s a money post that’s just dying to leap out of my brain and onto the pages of this blog.
It’s mostly a post about me complaining about money. The hopelessness of it all. The fact that even when we get out of debt, at our current incomes we can’t hope to ever pay off a mortgage which, these days could cost anywhere from $400,000 to over a million dollars.
We’re simple people, with simple needs. And the truth is we just don’t make enough money to pay off a mortgage like that plus raise two kids plus save for retirement. I just don’t think it’s humanly possible.
And I’d like to think that one day we’ll both get jobs that pay more, but the reality is that it might not happen. We have to plan our lives based on what we make now, not what we might make in the future. It’s a sad day indeed.
Anyways, I’d like to write a post about money, but I’m just not comfortable writing about such a sensitive subject.
